TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE COUNTER MEASURES (TSCM)

If you feel like someone is watching your movements, listening to you or knows about things that they should not know about such as business secrets, we can set your mind at ease and search for illegal listening devices, GPS vehicle trackers, video cameras and bugs for your home, office or car. National Surveillance and Intelligence specialise in Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) using the most advance and up to date equipment available on the market to protect our clients.

Electronic bugs, listening devices, hidden cameras, infra red beams, burst/packet bugs, spread spectrum and other similar eavesdropping devices are widely obtainable over the internet and in many cases, easily installed. Our technical and physical inspections are complex and precise, providing a high-level service to governments, corporations, executives and individuals alike, using advanced counter surveillance equipment, procedures and policies to secure your privacy.

The protection of delicate information is a job for an expert and should not be taken lightly. The threat is rising rapidly as the complexity of covert equipment and techniques means that the need for security protection and understanding is now escalating.

NSI provides guidance and assistance on security processes that can be undertaken to decrease the probability of you or your company becoming the objective of political, corporate or industrial spying. Online security, cyber crime and mobile phone espionage are the biggest threats to hit Australian businesses and government organisations. Companies should invest in cybersecurity counter measures as all sectors are at rist of data theft. This includes individuals. Our trained operatives are IT professionals and are able to detect key logging devices, network vulnerabilities, malware, spyware, botnets and viruses. We regularly attend conferences hosted nationally and internationally and are always up to date with current and emerging trends. Our agents are proud members with the Australian Information Security Association.

As for mobile phones, spy software is widely available. Security measures should be in place such as passwords and lock codes. Staff should not leave their phone accessible to others as mobile phones thesedays are connected to the internet and in more and more cases, to company networks, thus allowing an intruder easy access to company files.

What should you do if you believe there is an eavesdropping device at your workplace or premises?

Call National Surveillance and Intelligence from a safe location, i.e. phone box or mobile phone away from the potential threat. Try to avoid significant discussions in the surrounding area until we are able to confirm the room or phone line is safe. Our experienced operatives will arrange a private meeting and examine how we will be able to aid you with your risk.

Successful detection programs can help find and prevent acts of spying, intimidation, blackmail, hostage taking and an assortment of other serious crimes. We can also provide anti surveillance guidance and support to identify covert attempts to observe corporate, executive or family activities.

National Surveillance and Intelligence uses the following equipment when conducting TSCM sweeps. Our equipment is state of the art, military specification and our operatives have been trained in using TSCM equipment and attend regular courses nationally and internationally, allowing us to offer the most advanced electronic surveillance countermeasure service available to our clients.

The CPM-700 (Deluxe) and OSCOR 5000 (Omni-Spectral Correlator) are used for the protection of sensitive information crucial to your success. Both are designed to detect all major types of audio and video radio frequency transmitters, including infrared, frequency hopping, spread spectrum and burst/packet bugs. NSI has trained operatives to conduct bug sweeps with the OSCOR 5000 and the CPM-700, giving you peace of mind in knowing that the job will be done. We also use military specification spectrum analysers and monitor the RF range up to 26 Ghz (depending on what threat level is determined).

Our trained operatives also perform physical searches by using devices such as the P1203, Radio Frequency Tracers, Counters and Testers, which are all able to detect and locate electronic listening devices quickly and silently. NSI can also perform a thorough check of telephone lines using a TALON-Time Domain Reflectometer which checks for impedance irregularities, splits or taps on a phone line to re-assure your personal and business information is kept confidential.

We have packages to suit your budget and for corporate clientele we have great rates for TSCM surveys and ongoing TSCM sweeps. NSI can also perform technical assessments and provide advice to improve security within your workplace or home.

It may sound as though bug detection is not a big threat in Australia, however, one must look at our doorstep and across the world. This article in The Australian is one example of the threat we face.
